Monica Gaspar is a Xavier alum and a Spiritline alum of the class of 1992. As a graduate of Arizona State University, Monica Gaspar has coached cheer and pom for Xavier College Preparatory since 1998 and is now the Spiritline Program Director. Besides being a mother of 3 boys, she coaches 2 teams at Xavier, and has also coached all star dance teams as well as all star cheer teams around Arizona. In 1998 she was the recipient of the Southwest Region National Federation Coach of the Year, 1998 Arizona State Coach of the year and in 2005 received the AIA Women in Sports Leadership Award. She is currently AACCA certified and is a National Federation certified technical judge. She also served for four years (1999-2003) on the Board of Directors for the National Federation of Interscholastic Spirit Associations. Most recently, she was awarded the Arizona State Coach of the Year for a second time in 2022. She has had experience as a guest speaker as well as been a cheer/pom judge at conferences and competitions in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and California. The accomplishments she is most proud of are her numerous local, regional, state and national championships for both her pom and cheer teams.

Taylor is a Xavier alum and Spiritline alum of the class of 2011. Taylor has been coaching since 2014. Taylor began dancing at the age of 3 and danced competitively at Spisak Dance Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. During her time at Spisak Dance Academy, she received many awards, scholarships and recognitions. She also began assistant teaching at the age of 16 which is where her love of teaching began. As well as studio dance, Taylor attended Xavier College Preparatory where she was a member of their pom team for 4 years. She continued her education by attending The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in health sciences with a minor in Spanish. During her time at UofA, Taylor began teaching for Universal Dance Association(UDA) teaching dance camps to high school teams. During her 5 years teaching for UDA, Taylor was able to travel all over the country teaching summer camps as well judge competitions at the regional and national level. Taylor plans to continue sharing her love and passion for dance with her current and future students.
Katie Treadwell
Cheer Coach
Katie Treadwell has been involved with cheerleading for over 10 years. She is originally from Albuquerque, NM and was a cheerleader at Eldorado High School. After graduating high school, she chose to attend Southeastern Louisiana University, where she cheered from 2012-2016. During her time at SLU, Katie attended UCA College Nationals winning three bronze medals at. Katie then decided to continue her education further in getting her Masters of Science in School Counseling. During this time, she also began her high school coaching career at St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School in Hammond, LA. Katie coached STA for 3 years winning a State Championship, State Runner up, and UCA National High School Championship. Upon graduation, Katie moved to Arizona and began her career as a High School Counselor at Marcos de Niza, where she also continued her coaching career as the Head Cheerleading Coach. Katie lead the Padre cheer team to their first ever state championship in 2020. Katie is excited to continue her coaching career at XCP and to share her passion and love for cheerleading with such incredible athletes.

Elise Fraher

Elise Fraher has been in the Spiritline world for 11 years as a both a coach and an athlete in high school. She is a born and raised Arizonan from Gilbert, Arizona and was a cheerleader and pommie at Seton Catholic Preparatory High School. She was part of the first team at Seton to attend a National competition for cheer and was part of the first pom team her junior year. After graduating high school, she attended Northern Arizona University and following her senior year she worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Upon returning home she missed cheer and pom and began coaching for her Alma Mater, Seton Catholic Prep for four years. She was the assistant coach for Varsity cheer her first two years in addition to the JV head cheer coach. During her first two years she took her JV cheer teams to USA nationals where they got fourth place both times. Following those initial two years, Elise became the co-head coach for the Spiritline program and worked with the Varsity pom, Varsity cheer, Stunt team, and JV pom for two years. Elise then decided to take a different path and began her master’s program in Higher Education Student Affairs through Grand Canyon University. This past year (2023-2024), Elise was brought on full time to work at Xavier and reignited her coaching career with Xavier as the assistant spiritline coach. She is excited to continue to work with the amazing XCP spiritline athletes and looks forward to helping to continue to help the girls reach their goals as part of the Xavier spiritline teams.
